School Yard Supervision

Students should not be in the schoolyard in the mornings before 8:45 am. There are no adult supervisors until this time. As well, the adult supervision after the school day ends at 3:35 pm. At that time students should be at home or under their parent’s care. Children left on the yard at 3:35 pm, will be brought to the school office to wait as we attempt to contact their parents.

Facebook

Just a reminder to all families that Facebook is not to be accessed by students under the age of 13. The following is the statement is taken straight from the Facebook homepage:
“No information from children under age 13. If you are under age 13, please do not attempt to register for Facebook or provide any personal information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from a child under age 13, please contact through our help page.”

Please monitor your child’s usage of the computer and have it in a public place in the home where the screen is readily visible by an adult at all times. Help us keep our students safe from online dangers.

Dogs in the Yard

For the safety and comfort of our students, we ask families to maintain control of their dog when walking to and from school. We ask dog owners to stay on the grass area with their dogs. This allows students who are nervous or anxious around dogs to have a safe area (the tarmac) to wait for the school bell. Dogs must be leashed and kept close to their owners to provide a safe schoolyard experience for all of our students. We thank you for your co-operation in creating a safe and inviting school environment for all of our students!
