We would like to share an update on the work underway in support of Elizabeth Ziegler Public School.
Project Update – Elizabeth Ziegler Public School
Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) staff continue to work together with contractors at Elizabeth Ziegler Public School as progress is made on the repair, restoration and enhancement of the school building. In April, efforts began on the interior of the school to protect elements of the school, like wood floors and entranceways, during the next steps of the project. In May, scaffolding was installed encasing the main school building, to support work that will take place to repair and restore the exterior brickwork.
At this time the school remains closed and is on track to open in September 2027.
