This past week we had an assembly to talk to students about the amazing work of Terry Fox. In order to carry on Terry’s fundraising for the cancer society, we will be holding a Terry Fox run on Thursday September 26 during period 4. Students are welcome to walk or run.

We are asking the Elizabeth Ziegler community to support this initiative by having students bring in money for our run. We have suggested that students do some extra jobs around the house to get some money to bring in, or perhaps students can bring some money in from their piggybanks or savings. We do not want children going door-to-door to ask for donations.

As an incentive for the fundraising, we have some brave staff who have volunteered to get involved. If we raise $900 Mr. Day will kiss a farm animal, if we raise $1000 Mrs. Bechtel will kiss a farm animal, if we raise $1100 Ms. A.L.  will kiss a farm animal, if we raise $1300 our vice-principal Mrs. Peebles will kiss a farm animal, and if we raise $1500 our principal Ms. Green will kiss a farm animal.

All money is due by next Thursday, September 26.
