This morning we had our first rainy morning, and what a wet day it was!

Here are a few reminders about our rainy day procedures at Elizabeth Ziegler:

• We will ring the rain bell at 8:45 and students may enter the school at that time. Students should not arrive before 8:45 as we do not have supervision before that time.
• All students go directly to their classes and wait in the hall, with the EXCEPTION of the portables that go down to the structures area, and Mrs. Burden’s class who waits in the main hall outside the office. In the past students met in the gym on rainy mornings, but that has not been the procedure for a number of years. This change was made because we have phys. ed classes that start right at 9:00, so we want to keep the gym dry and safe for our students.
• Students will be supervised by teachers once they are in their area.
• We would ask that parents do not come into the school to walk their children to their classrooms on rainy days. Please say good bye outside as you normally would; students will be supervised upon entry.
