Today a number of our students came to school with crazy carpets, sleds or toboggans, hoping to use them during our outdoor nutrition break times. Safety is our number one priority when students are playing outside, and due to the large number of students outside at our break times, we would ask that students NOT bring any of these items to use at school. We do have some equipment at school that teachers may choose to use with individual classes during a phys. ed. period, but students are not allowed to bring these items to use during our whole school outdoor time.
In addition, we would ask that students not bring full size shovels to school. Other items (small hand shovels, buckets, etc.) can be brought to use for building forts, but large shovels are not safe when many students are working closely together on a project. Please keep in mind that the school cannot be responsible for items that are brought from home.
We thank you for helping to keep our students safe!
