We have discovered what appears to be hickory tussock moth caterpillars on the EZ school grounds. These particular caterpillars (if handled) may cause an itchy, stinging rash. They are approximately 5 cm long, white, fuzzy, with a few big tufts of black hair near its front and back. Students have been instructed this afternoon during an announcement, not to touch these caterpillars as they could get a very itchy rash, and to report to a staff member(s) when they see them outside. We wanted the community to be aware in case you discover them after hours on school property.
